The President calls on the population to go to polls in the second round. The corresponding statement was made at a press conference by president’s spokesperson Eka Mishveladze.
"The country is still in the election regime. The second round is very important. The President calls on the population to be active in the first place and to express their choice, since it is the will of the voters that will have a decisive impact on the elections", - Mishveladze said.
In addition, according to her, the President expressed hope that the second round of elections will be conducted in a transparent, fair and peaceful atmosphere. She said the Central Election Commission was responsible for election-related issues.
“Therefore, it is very important the Commission to publish all the data, including the number of invalid ballots. People should be provided comprehensive information in time”, Mishveladze said.
