The elections were held in a peaceful environment and voters had an opportunity to express their will, - Central Election Commission (CEC) Chairwoman Tamar Zhvania has said at a news conference today.
Tamar Zhvania thanked the parties involved in the election process and the Central Election Commission staff.
"The elections went in a peaceful environment and voters had an opportunity to express their will. There were some incidents, but overall the process was carried out in a transparent manner and the voters were able to participate in the elections in a free environment.
I thank each voter, because they showed a high civic responsibility and went to the second round of elections. I thank each representative of the election administration for their efforts”, she said.
I would also like to thank all the parties involved in the election process, the media, local and international observer organizations, as they are contributed to the conduct of elections in a transparent manner", - Tamar Zhvania said.
