Kvareli Governor Davit Kevkhishvili was arrested for petty hooliganism, the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Nino Giorgobiani, told InterpressNews.
According to her, 17 other people were also arrested along with Davit Kevkhishvili.
"Kvareli Governor Davit Kevkhishvili was arrested for petty hooliganism. His 17 supporters were also detained for disobedience to police and petty hooliganism. Currently they are in the Kvareli regional department building’, Giorgobiani said.
After necessary procedures are completed, the detainees will be taken to Gurjaani court.
