Tamar Zhvania, the CEC Chairperson presented the information on statistical data together with the update on the election administration activities, including registered mayoral candidates, international and local observer organizations and application/complaints submitted to the CEC. Representatives of international and local NGOs attended the meeting as well.

The CEC Chairperson introduced to the meeting participants information on gender statistics prepared for the 2014 Municipal Elections. The document reflects gender balance in the voters’ list, among mayoral and head of local municipality (Gamgebeli) candidates, as well as gender balance of the candidates nominated by the party lists of election subjects.

The roundtables are organized by the CEC initiative with the support of International Republican Institute (IRI). The meetings are held on a regular basis during the pre-election period.
